Another element that may affect an outdoor exhibition is wet weather. A standard trade show stands that is made from laminated banner material is not waterproof, merely water resistant. With exposure to wet weather the graphic will become damaged as water seeps underneath the laminate. The only reliable alternative is vinyl banner material which is completely waterproof. The print on a vinyl banner graphic is also UV resistant as it requires a solvent printer.

There are a number of different styles of outdoor banner stands which all do a very similar job. The main difference is the aesthetics of the stand base and frame. It is mostly to do with personal preference as to which stand you choose because the banner graphic will be the same quality for each stand and should only vary slightly in size. An important factor to consider is the quality of the stand’s construction.
Cheaper stands may not stand up to the additional wear and tear that exhibiting outdoors will cause so it may be worth investing a little bit more in a stand that will withstand the rigorous of an outdoor exhibition if you intend to use it more than a handful of times.
